Butterfly Lug valves

High quality industrial valves designed to meet the requirements

Size Range

  • 40mm to 600 mm dia (1 ½” to 24”)

Operating Options

  • Lever/Gear Box/Pneumatic Actuator

Salient Features

  • Face to Face
Valve installed face to face is designed to meet the requirements of EN558-1 (Series 20), BS 5155, and ISO 5752 & API 609. Valve seat liners are designed to protrude beyond the body face to act as an in-built gasket. No separate gasket is needed.
  • Body : Lug
Lug type valve bodies are provided with tapped holes according to various flange standards as given above. Lugged body valves can be used in end of the line applications.
  • Long neck body
The valves are provided with long neck to enable application of sufficient insulation while used on HVAC lines.
  • Single Piece Stem-upto 12” (300mm) Single piece stem for positive disc alignment is retained inside the body by means of a retainer to ensure the stem is anti-blow out.
  • Internal stem to disc connectionA very positive internal square drive unlike grooved pin drive, where the pins often fail and lead to leakage and failure in operation.
  • Mounting pad
Valves are provided with actuator mounting pads according to ISO 5211 for direct mounting actuator and gear units. No necessity for additional mounting bracket and coupling arrangements.

  • Epoxy Powder coated
Valve is powder coated using state of the art electro static powder coating equipment for excellent corrosion, abrasion resistance and glossy finish.
  • Replaceable liners
The liners are provided with hard phenolic / Aluminum back-up enabling easy replacement and increased valve life. These hard backup replaceable liners possess advantages of both loose liners and body in-situ molded liners.
  • Stretch Resistant
Valves with loose liners, when operated frequently, flex the seats beyond fatigue limit and the seats get torn. SAAPL seats, integrally molded and bonded to hard back-up rings, have superior resistance to flexing and stretching.
  • Better strength
SAAPL liners possess necessary strength against high velocities of flowing fluid because of the bonding. Also, they do not buckle when sandwiched between flanges.
  • No Corrosion of Body material underneath the seat
Valves with loose liners and without the back-up expose the body material to the line fluids when the seat is torn. SAAPL liners with hard back up eliminate such a possibility.
  • Increased Valve Life
In the case of valves with seats molded directly to the body, the valve is condemned if the liner is torn. SAAPL valves take second innings with the newly replaced liners.
  • Low Inventory Cost
Keeping stock of just SAAPL liners will be cheaper to keeping in-situ body molded valves.
  • Changeable to Suit the Service Condition
In SAAPL valves, changing over to a liner of different polymer to suit the change in process (fluid, concentration levels and temperature) is easy and cheaper than replacing the whole valve.
  • Tight Shut-off
The valves will have perfect bi-directional sealing against the rated differential pressures and in vacuum applications.
