Torque Plate

Torque Plate plays a major role in braking system of heavy automobiles. It performs the mounting role of scamshaft, axle and brake shoes. The center opening of the torque plate receives the axle shaft. The torque plate is made up with the spheroidized cast iron. It is mounted in the brake down. While braking a large amount of forces acts in the torque plate. The torque plate consists of the following parts,

Design Features

An important brake caliper mounted on the torque plate. Whenever brake applied, there is a small amount of load generated. It can absorb the load and support for braking system.
